Macromedia Format Menu:


Format Menu:

1.     Font: Font option of format menu is very important option of Ms-Word, using this option we can set different types of find font sizes, colors, character spacing , Animation etc.
·        Click on format menu and click on font option. (Font color , font size,
·        In font tab, select font (font style ) and other attributes like font color, font size and font style (e.g. Bold Italic Underline ) Select underline and Underline color and other test effect, (e.g. superscript (a2 +b2) Subscript (H2o) Outline (like) emboss etc.
·        Again choose spacing tab and select Horizontal spacing and text spacing.
·        If you want to add other text animation effect, choose text tab and select required text effect and click on ok button.
2.     Paragraph: Using paragraph command we can set paragraph with required paragraph Option. We can set alignment paragraph and first line Indentation line Paragraph spacing and so on.
·        Selecting required document.
·        Then click on format menu and click on paragraph command. (Dialog box appears).
·        And choose required alignment e.g. Left right, center, and justify.
·        Again specify required indentation from right side or left side.
·        The applied required paragraph spacing
·        After or before. And applied required line spacing single or double and click on ok button.
3.     Bullet and Numbering: Using this option we can insert bullet and numbering at required paragraph also allows customizing symbol (bullet) and number.
·        Select required paragraph or list, which you want to add bullet or numbers.
·        Then click on format menu.
·        And click on bullet and number command. (Dialog box appears).
·        Then Select required symbol and number,
·        And click on ok button.
Bullet:
·        Select the required text.
·        Then click on Bullet and number command (Dialog box appears
·        Then click Bullet and Select any one which you want to customize.
·        And click on customize button the click on character button (Then bullet dialog box appears) And Select any bullet from list then click on ok button again click on ok
Numbered:
·        Select the required text and click on format menu.
·        Then click Bullet and numbering and click on numbered tab and Select anyone which you want to customize it so click on customize button.
·        And click on font then Select any number style e.g. One two three, 1st, 2nd 3rd etc then click on ok button.
4.     Border and Shading: This option is used to put border and shading in required document. It has different style of border, which make document more attractive. It also allow page border in current document.
·        Select the required text or whole text.
·        Then click on format menu and click on border and shading. Dialog box appears
·        To apply paragraph border, Select border.
a        Select available preset paragraph border setting.
b       Then Select line style, Colors and line width.
c        And Select border apply section from apply to drop menu.
·         To apply page border, then Select page Border tab.
a        Select required border and its setting (Line style, color, size etc) or Select Art.
b       Select page border to apply (whole document this section, First page etc)
·        For paragraph shading, select shading tab.
a        Select shading colors or patterns.
b       Then shading applying section.
·        At last click on ok button.
5.     Columns:  This option helps us to insert column at current document in MS-word.
·       Click on format menu. Then click on columns command.(Dialog box appears)
·       Choose anyone column style as you like or type required column number at number of columns.
·       If required column width, select column apply area (Selected text or whole document.)
·       When finished setting then click on ok button.
·       And to go to next column press ctrl +shift + enter.
6.     Tabs: This command is used to setting tab in required text of the document.
·        Click on format menu and on tabs command. (dialog box appears)
·        Then specify tab position alignment etc.
·        And click on set button.
·        Click on ok button.
7.     Drop Cap: using this option we can design the document. It helps to give big capital of the initial letter of the document with required number of lines and distance.
·        Place the cursor at required position.
·        Then click on format menu and click on drop cap command.
·        And choose anyone drop cap style.
·        Specify required number of line to drop, distance
·        And click on ok button.
8.     Change Case: This option is used to change the character case as like upper case, toggle case.
·        Select required text or paragraph of document.
·        Then click on format menu.
·        Click on Change Case (Dialog Box appears)
·        Then choose sentence case for change initial Capital of the sentences.
·        Choose upper case for capital letter.
·        Choose lower case for small letter.
·        Choose title case for month, day, person, name etc. Then click on ok button.
9.     Text Direction: It is used to display required word in different direction.
·        Select required text of text book or drop cap.
·        Then click on format menu.
·        And click on text direction command. (Dialog box appears)
·        Then choose any text direction style and click on ok button.
10.         Background: Using this command we can let different types of colors back ground in active document. It also allows setting effect picture as Back Ground. ( On screen display only)
·        Click on format menu. Then click on background command.
·        And choose anyone color. If you want to fill other effect then choose fill effect from the dialog box. Then choose any effect as you like.
·        At last click on ok button.
